Incertitude

I remember how four months ago we were spending a great New Year's Eve with our loved ones and we were discussing how this year 2020 was going to be superb. It was all excitement and happiness.
Now I am alone in my room, home isolating because a virus is taking over our world and its people with it. Universities are closed down so I won't go to university until next course, and I have lost my job until further notice. My normal life has stopped and I don't know when it will be back.
"Why the hell is this happening?" I ask myself all the time.
Most probably, all of you are in the same situation. It's all really weird, right?
Many of us are very bored and can't take it anymore, others enjoy having to stay home, and others are getting mad. But what I am sure about, is that most of us are feeling incertitude in front of all this situation and its consequences. Quite normal, I think.
Our life is changing brutally and we have no control over it. We don't know what to do or how this year is gonna go; if we are gonna be able to go out, if we're gonna get our jobs back...
We wanna go back in time and start this year again, because it's definitely not going good.
We are full of incertitude and our minds are confused. But you know, we can not do anything else other than stay home, and wait until all this finishes as soon as possible.
Now when I feel blue and stressed out I try to think on the positive sides of things and I look for all the reasons I am thankful. Then I feel a bit better because life can always be much worse and we have to learn to appreciate the small things, even if it's hard to see them.
We may have to stay home for a while, but this will be over at some point. In the meantime, we gotta try to be better and just enjoy some time for ourselves, cause we need it, and we deserve it.
Enjoy the time however you want for once that you can! Read books, watch movies, do exercise, clean and organise the house, do all those things you have wanted to do before and you never had time. Or you can also be lazy and eat cereals all day, if that is what you need, but be positive. Always, no matter what.
Sometimes being alone sucks, but it's something we all need from time to time in order to grow personally and be able to see things clearer.
Who would have said this last New Year's Eve that the world would be in this situation now, right? Kinda crazy... Yea... But life is crazy, and it will surprise you over and over again. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. And that's one of the beautiful mysteries of life; you never know what is going to happen next.
Now go and do whatever you feel like doing. The most important thing is that we stay positive and grateful under any circumstances.
We all wish that this is over soon and that we can get our life back. :)
